RECREATION AND PARKS

The following is a list of parks and recreation facilities that are accessible in the Township of The North Shore.

Serpent River Parkette

Located on Hwy 17 in Serpent River

Outdoor Rinks

There are two outdoor rinks, one is located on Riverview Road in Serpent River and the other is located at the Spragge Recreation area

Tennis Court

Located at the Spragge Recreation Area

Basketball Courts

Located at the Spragge Recreation Area and by the Algoma Mills Walking Trail at the municipal office

Baseball Field and Playground

Located in Pronto East Subdivision

Playground

Located at Lake Lauzon Beach in Algoma Mills, Riverview Road in Serpent River and the Spragge Recreation Area

Beaches

Lake Lauzon Beach and Bootlegger Bay in Algoma Mills 

Causeway Pavillion

Located in Algoma Mills at 1096 Highway 538

Boat Launches

Three locations in Algoma Mills : Lake Lauzon Boat Launch, the Causeway Boat Launch and the Wettlauffer Bay Boat Launch on Pronto Road

Two locations in Spragge : Wagoosh Lake Boat Launch and on Lake Huron, the Pater Mine Boat Launch located by the NCYC

One location in Serpent River : the S.R. Boat Launch

All of the above, excluding Serpent River Parkette, are maintained by the Public Works Department.
