LAKE LAUZON BEACH

Situated in Algoma Mills, Lake Lauzon Beach can be seen from Highway 17 as you are driving by.

At Lauzon Beach you will find a public boat launch with plenty of parking that offers the boating enthusiasts a chance to explore beautiful Lake Lauzon.  This seven mile-long lake with its many islands and inlets can be an adventurous way to spend the day.  The breathtaking views of the rugged scenery are certainly impressive as you see first hand the wondrous beauty of an inland lake carved out of the Pre-Cambrian Shield.   As you can expect from such an environment, the various birds and wildlife are plentiful so binoculars and cameras are a must.  Fishing on the lake is a year-round attraction as well, with many prized fish being caught and bragged about.

If relaxing on the beach is more your style then planning a day of fun is quite easy.  With a playground park for the kids, a gazebo, washrooms, barbecue pits, change rooms, and of course picnic tables, it is a fabulous outing for the whole family to enjoy.  Lake Lauzon has a water temperature that is great for swimming all summer long, and the sunsets at dusk are breathtaking.
