Student Employment

During the summer months students are hired based on the following:

Summer Student Employment Hiring Policy

     1)  At least one parent will reside in the Township.

     2)  Must be 16 years of age.

     3)  Must be a full-time student, returning to school in the fall.

     4)  Order of seniority considered for employment will be:  university, college, and
          then secondary school students.

     5)  One student per family.

     6)  Conditions stipulated in particular grant programs will supercede this policy.

     7)  Student must be accepted by a hiring committee consisting of at least the
          Clerk, department head, and one Councillor.

     8)  Those other than described in 1) above may be considered if no other applicants
          meet the job qualifications.

     9)  Must supply own transportation to and from work.
